Pillow protectors

Absorbent bed pads and underpads

An absorbent bed pad lies on top of the sheet and holds fluid away from the skin. Icare's reusable bed pads have tuck-in flaps and three layers, and come in long single to queen. The Kylie Bed Sheet and Care Quip Deluxe Sheet are quilted absorbent sheets designed to be used with a plastic fitted sheet, and the Molinea underpad protects beds and chairs. Medical sheet sets for adjustable beds

Ordinary fitted sheets can pull off a profiling bed, one that bends at the head and knees, so a medical sheet set needs a deeper, shaped fit. Icare adjustable bed sheet sets are 1000 thread count cotton sateen with a 36cm drop, cut to fit and move with profiling beds, in white or charcoal. Extra long sets add 300mm for the IC333 extra long bed in our home care beds, and a fitted sheet set is made for the Avalon Rotating Bed.

Frequently asked questions

Will a waterproof mattress protector make the bed hot or noisy?
The Icare fitted protector, fully enclosed cover and pillow protector use a breathable, noiseless backing under a tencel surface, so they feel closer to a sheet. Plastic fitted sheets and PVC covers give full fluid protection but feel less like ordinary bedding.
Which protector suits an aged care facility?
Facilities often choose covers that can be wiped down between residents. The Zerotec medical grade covers are fully wipeable with welded seams and a drip cover over the zip, and are made for home or facility use where infection control is required.
How should I wash reusable bed pads?
Icare's reusable bed pads are machine washable and should be line dried in the shade, without machine drying, ironing or dry-cleaning. Make sure each pad is fully dry before it goes back on the bed. Check the care label for each product.
