Sleeping pillows

Icare's Visco pillows use a visco elastic core, a dense memory foam that softens with body heat and moulds to the head and neck.

• Visco Classic: a traditional shape with a cooling gel insert, for back sleepers
• Visco Contour: a high side for back and side sleepers and a low side for front sleepers
• Visco Curve: a very low profile shape that supports the neck and shoulders, for side and front sleepers
• Visco Cloud: a removable core inside a microfibre filled cover for a softer feel

For care settings, the Fibre Med pillow has a wipeable, waterproof medical cover, and the Fibre Eco pillow has a machine washable cotton cover for low care use.

Wedge pillow and positioning pillows

A wedge pillow raises part of the body on a slope. The Icare Bed Wedge raises the upper body, folds for storage and can sit under one end of the mattress instead. The Posture Wedge and Coccyx Wedge are seat wedges for chairs.

A positioning pillow helps hold the body in one place. The Knee Cushion can sit between the knees as a spacer or under the legs, and Pillow Suspenders hold a pillow to the mattress platform of a profiling bed so it does not slide down. Two suspenders are used together for each pillow.

Back and seat cushions

• Lumbar Roll: supports the curve of the lower back when seated, in full or half roll
• Back Cushion: a contoured cushion with an elastic strap and clip
• Donut Cushion: a ring cushion with an 11cm centre hole
• Standard Seat Cushioning: visco elastic cushions in 5cm and 10cm thickness for wheelchairs, cars and home seating

Most have zip-off washable covers.

Choosing a support pillow

Start with how the person sleeps or sits, then think about cleaning. Back sleepers often prefer a classic shape, side sleepers a higher contour, and anyone in a care setting a wipeable cover. If pain, breathing or reflux is the reason for the pillow, talk to a GP or physiotherapist first.
