Enteral feeding supplies

Our enteral feeding supplies include tube feeds from Abbott and Nutricia, giving sets for gravity and pump feeding, gastrostomy and nasogastric tubes, ENFit syringes and adaptors, and decanting containers. Enteral feeding means delivering nutrition through a tube into the stomach or intestine, and it is set up and managed by a health care team.

Thickened drinks and texture-modified foods

For people with swallowing difficulties, called dysphagia, our thickened drinks range includes ready-to-drink Flavour Creations drinks labelled with IDDSI levels, Instant Thick thickening powder and sachets, and pureed custards and fruits. Healthdirect notes that speech pathologists and dietitians are among the health professionals who help with dysphagia, and treatment can include changing the texture of food and drinks.

Meal replacements

The meal replacements category holds the OPTIFAST VLCD range of shakes, soups, desserts and bars. The maker describes them as part of a very low calorie diet program that should be taken under the supervision of a healthcare professional.

Vitamins and supplements

Infant formula

  • Match the advice: quote the exact product name, IDDSI level, tube size or flavour you have been advised to use.
  • Check carton sizes: many feeds and thickened drinks are sold by the carton, which suits regular use and facility stock.
  • Read the label: allergen and diet information is on each product page and pack.
  • Plan ahead: keep a little extra stock of the nutritional supplements you use every day, so a delivery delay does not leave you short.
