Mobility aids for getting around at home and outside

Allcare Warehouse stocks mobility aids for people who need extra support while walking, and for people who need to sit while they get around. The range covers walking sticks, crutches, walking frames, rollators, manual wheelchairs, Top Gun mobility scooters, portable ramps and the accessories that go with them. We are a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider with a showroom in Liverpool, and we deliver Sydney wide. This page sorts the range by need, so you can go straight to the right section.

Choose by how you move

Most people start with one question: can you walk safely with some support, or do you need to sit? The answer points you to one of five sections.

  • Walking with support: our walking aids section holds walking sticks, quad sticks, crutches, walking frames and rollators, for anyone who can stay on their feet with the right aid.
  • Sitting to get around: the wheelchairs range is manual chairs only, including self-propelled, transit, heavy duty and tilt-in-space models.
  • Longer trips outdoors: Top Gun mobility scooters run from pull-apart models that come apart for transport to larger canopy scooters for wet weather.
  • Steps and kerbs: wheelchair ramps include folding, roll-up and telescopic ramps you can carry to where they are needed.
  • Add-ons and spare parts: mobility accessories covers trays, bags, gloves, legrests, crutch tips and sheepskin grips.

Mobility equipment for elderly people at home

Many older people want to keep moving around the house and the neighbourhood. A walking frame or rollator gives more support than a stick, and a rollator with a seat lets you stop and rest on the way to the shops. For someone who tires quickly, a transit wheelchair pushed by a family member or carer can make outings easier. Healthdirect explains that a healthcare professional can assess your mobility needs and suggest suitable aids, so talk to your GP, physiotherapist or occupational therapist if you are unsure. Our guide to the different types of mobility aids explains each one in more detail.

Buying mobility aids in Sydney with NDIS funding

We supply NDIS participants whose plans are self-managed, plan-managed or NDIA-managed. What a plan covers is decided by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and the participant's plan, not by Allcare Warehouse. Our NDIS hub explains how buying through a plan works, and you can also buy without NDIS funding.

Frequently asked questions

Can I see mobility aids before I buy?
Yes. Many items in the range can be seen at the Liverpool showroom inside Northumberland Arcade. The display changes, so call 1300 767 777 before you visit if you want to look at a particular wheelchair, rollator or scooter, and we will let you know what is on the floor.
Do you deliver mobility equipment outside Sydney?
We deliver Sydney wide. Freight delivery can be arranged within NSW, and products listed as available for delivery Australia wide can be sent further. Call us with your postcode and the item you want, and we will confirm the delivery options for it.
Does Allcare Warehouse assess which mobility aid I need?
No. We do not provide clinical assessments. A GP, physiotherapist or occupational therapist can assess you and recommend a type and size of aid. Once you have that advice, our team can show you the matching products in the range and answer questions about their features.
Do you sell electric wheelchairs?
No. The wheelchairs in our range are all manual, either self-propelled or pushed by a carer. If you need a powered option for longer trips, the Top Gun mobility scooters are the battery-powered option we stock.
