Incontinence pants and pull-ups

Incontinence pants pull on and off like ordinary underwear, with an absorbent core built in, so they suit active people who manage their own changes. Allcare Warehouse stocks disposable pull-ups from TENA, Depend, MoliCare, Poise, Always Discreet, iD, Lille, Dailee and essential, plus TENA washable absorbent underwear. Styles range from women's low waist and high waist designs to unisex pants for heavier leaks and overnight use. Call 1300 767 777 or visit the Liverpool showroom to check sizes and absorbency.

Pull up pants for adults: how they compare

Compared with a pad worn inside your own underwear, pull up pants for adults cover more and hold more, and many are rated for moderate to heavy leaks. Compared with all-in-one briefs, they are quicker to put on but work best for someone who can stand to change. Some make removal easier: Dailee Pants Lady Plus has quick-tear sides, and Depend Flex can be put on and taken off sitting, standing or lying down, which the maker describes as time-saving. For lighter leaks, incontinence pads may be enough, and the Adult Continence page shows every type.

Brands in the range

TENA pants

TENA Pants Plus and TENA Pants Super come in medium and large. TENA Pants Plus Night is a unisex pull-up made to wear overnight and is rated for moderate to heavy incontinence. For women, there are TENA Pants Women Discreet, TENA Women's Pants Low Waist Noir and TENA Discreet High Waist Underwear, which is cream inside and out.

Depend pants

Depend Real Fit for Women comes in heavy and super heavy absorbency, from medium to extra large, plus a Night Defence style. Depend Underwear Super and Super Plus are unisex, and Depend Flex Super Plus is suitable for night use.

MoliCare pants, Poise and Always Discreet

Among MoliCare pants, the Premium lady pants are made for light to moderate bladder weakness, which the maker puts at around 1 to 2 cups of fluid, and contain aloe vera. Poise Thin & Discreet Pants and Always Discreet Underwear, including a Super Night style, are designed for bladder leaks.

iD and Lille Suprem pants

These ranges show the waist size and capacity in each name, which makes comparing simple. iD Pants Soft Feel run from Normal at 1050ml to Super at 1550ml. iD Classic Pants come in sizes from XS (50-70cm) to XL (130-170cm), with the Maxi version holding over 2200ml. Lille Suprem Pants Maxi hold 1900ml to 1980ml depending on size.

Washable incontinence pants

Washable incontinence pants such as TENA Washable Absorbent Underwear, Classic Noir, come in sizes from 10-12 to 18-20. Continence Health Australia notes that reusable pants can be used more than once and should be replaced every 6 to 12 months.

Choosing the right size

Most brands size incontinence pants by waist or hip measurement rather than clothing size, and many put the range in the product name, such as iD Pants Fit & Feel Normal M (80-110cm). Measure before ordering and choose the size whose range includes your measurement. If you fall between sizes or want to compare brands, call us. Our guide to pads, pull-ups and all-in-ones can also help you decide whether pants are the right type.
