What is in Vira San
The two active ingredients are hydrogen peroxide at 1.5% w/v and benzalkonium chloride at 0.5% w/v. The label describes the formula as non-corrosive and non-flammable, with no harsh fumes. On the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods, VIRA SAN All Surface Disinfectant is entered as a hospital grade disinfectant under ARTG 340431, sponsored by Clean Plus Chemicals.

Can Vira San be used on hands?
No. This spray is a surface disinfectant, not a skin product, and its register entry names it an all surface disinfectant. Keep it for benches, rails and other hard surfaces. For hands, look in our sanitisers range, which holds products made for skin.
