Fidget toys by type

Hand rollers

Hand rollers are smooth weighted pieces you rotate in one hand, roll between your palms or roll along the skin. They come in weights of 100, 180, 250, 260, 305 and 470 grams, including the Kaiko Infinity Hand Roller and slimline versions.

Spikey, chain and loop fidgets

This group includes the Kaiko Spikey Set, finger spikeys, the Kaiko Missing Link, Kaiko Loop fidgets in single and double link, the chain link fidget range and a bike chain keyring.

Spinners and cogs

Metal spinners include the gyroscope, cube spinner, flywheel spinner, wheel spinner and revolver spinner, plus the Cog range from The Cog to the Coginator and a Ferris wheel spinner with stand.

Soft, squishy and stretchy

For softer textures there are slow rise squishy plush animals, jelly mochi animals, stretchy caterpillars, stretchy sand in non-scented and essential oil versions, Kaiko mini squishy fidget balls and fluffy keyrings.

Puzzles and desk fidgets

Puzzle cubes such as the Skewb, Pyramid and Mega Minx sit alongside a labyrinth puzzle, puzzle ball, magnetic desk sculptures, a magnetic pen, pin art and a 10 inch LCD writing tablet.

Sensory tools for adults

Many items do not look like toys, which suits adults. Options include metal spinners, magnetic fidget rings, caterpillar and centipede necklaces, a hoodie caterpillar, a wrist caterpillar and the Kaiko fidget lanyard. The Clinician Sampler Resource Kit is supplied in colours its maker describes as discreet and suitable for anyone.

Kits for classrooms and clinics

Kits save choosing sensory toys item by item. The Clinician Sampler Resource Kit holds 15 Kaiko items chosen to cover soft through to spikey, spinning and weighted tools. The Kaiko Teachers Toolkit, The Fidget Kit, The Works Fidget Kit and the Kaiko Mega Works Fidget Kit group popular fidgets together, and several items come in boxes of 12, 24 or 36 for bulk use.

Choosing sensory toys

  • Where it will be used: a pocket fidget, a desk piece and a wearable necklace each suit a different setting.
  • Weight: think about how heavy the person likes an item to feel.
  • Texture: choose between smooth, soft, stretchy and spikey surfaces.
  • Age: some items are labelled as not suitable for children under 3, so check each product description.

A pencil grip set and easy grip scissors are listed too, with more grip equipment in daily living aids. A double sided sensory massage glove is also here, and more massagers are in our massage products. For NDIS participants, what a plan covers is decided by the NDIA and the plan itself; our guide to NDIS funding explains the steps.
