Care beds for home and aged care
Allcare Warehouse stocks care beds for people who spend long hours in bed at home, and for the facilities that look after them. The range runs from electric homecare beds that look like ordinary bedroom furniture to floorline and facility beds built for residential care. Each bed adjusts in different ways, so the right choice depends on who will use it, who is helping, and the room it has to fit. This page explains the main bed types and who they suit, so you can narrow the list before you call or visit.

Hospital beds for home
Our home care beds are electric Icare models that give you a hospital bed for home use without the clinical look. Most offer head lift and knee break, which raise the backrest and bend the knees, and many add height adjustment for the carer. Models include:
- the IC111, with split queen and split king options for couples
- the IC222 and IC280 high-low beds, and the IC280P Petite for children
- the IC333, its extra long version for tall users, and the premium IC777
- the IC555 bariatric bed, with a 300kg safe working load
A static partner bed or companion bed lets a partner sleep alongside.
Aged care beds for facilities
Our facility beds are made for residential and community care. The Gravitate G5 and G6 are floorline beds that lower to floor level for people at risk of falls, alongside the Gravitate G4, the Sileo Aged Care Bed, the BetterLiving Community Bed, and the Avalon Floor Lo-Lo and Rotating beds.
For mental health and other high-risk settings, our anti-ligature furniture includes beds, night stands, desks and storage.
Choosing an adjustable bed for elderly users
When you choose an adjustable bed for an elderly parent, start with the person and the room. Our home care bed guide goes into more detail.
- Height adjustment saves a carer from bending. Trendelenburg tilt (tipping the whole bed head-down or feet-down) is on the Gravitate G6 and BetterLiving beds.
- If falls are a worry, a floorline bed lowers close to the floor. Falls are a common cause of injury for older Australians, according to Healthdirect.
- Check the bed size and the safe working load on each product page, as both vary by model.
- If a hoist will be used, look for clear space under the bed.
- Choose the surface as carefully as the frame, including our pressure mattresses.
Rails, tables and bedroom aids
Our bed accessories cover side rails, bed sticks, over bed poles and blanket cradles. Overbed tables keep meals and devices within reach, and our bedroom aids add bedding protection, pillows and bedside toileting aids.
NDIS and aged care funding
Allcare Warehouse is a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider and supplies participants whether their plan is self-managed, plan-managed or NDIA-managed. The NDIS lists adjustable beds as mid-cost assistive technology, which needs an assistive technology advisor's recommendation, and funding decisions are made by the NDIA and your plan. Older people can ask about assistive technology through My Aged Care.
