Voltaren Osteo Gel and Emulgel
Osteo Gel 12 Hourly comes in 100g and 150g tubes and is labelled for mild osteoarthritis of the knees and fingers. Healthdirect lists anti-inflammatory creams and gels applied over a painful joint among the pain relief options for osteoarthritis, and advises checking with your doctor that they suit you. Voltaren Emulgel comes in a 180g tube and contains diclofenac diethylamine 11.6 mg/g.

Who should not use Voltaren Emulgel?
The label says not to use it on children under 12, if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you are allergic to diclofenac, aspirin or any other anti-inflammatory or pain relief medicine, or if the tube seal is broken or missing. It is for external use only and should be kept away from the eyes.
How often is Voltaren Emulgel applied?
Its directions are to rub it gently into the affected area three or four times daily, and not to use it for more than two weeks unless a doctor advises otherwise. Unless a doctor or pharmacist has said so, it should not be used alongside other medicines you take regularly.
