Smaller and mid-size scooters
The Bandit has a 300W motor, 9 inch pneumatic tyres and a seat that swivels and slides. The Top Gun LiON runs on a lithium-ion battery and carries up to 149 kg. Stepping up in power, the Daytona (600W) and Blazer (800W) each carry up to 158 kg. The Tranzforma is built for getting around indoors and converts within seconds into a compact scooter for outside. Our checklist of what to look for in a scooter can help narrow the choice.
Larger and bariatric scooters
The Avenger (1100W) and the Mustang (1650W, double sprung suspension) are both rated to 180 kg. The Everest and Charger take up to 203 kg. The Everest has high ground clearance for rough ground, while the Charger has a compact footprint and a low step on and off. At the top of the range, the bariatric Emperor carries up to 250 kg on an extra wide bench seat, with 22.5 cm of ground clearance. Most models have a USB charging port and an adjustable, shock absorbing Flexi Tiller. For other options, browse our wider mobility aids.

Frequently asked questions
Which TopGunMobility scooters come apart for the car?
The Bandit and the Top Gun LiON are both pull apart scooters, which separate into pieces for transport or storage. The LiON also has steel safety bumpers all round. Before buying, think about who will lift the pieces into the boot and whether they can manage it.
Which models have a weather canopy?
Three. The Safari has an impact resistant clear canopy, a 1650W motor and a 203 kg rating. The Phantom pairs its canopy and windscreen with front and rear storage. The Albatross GOLF, rated to 250 kg, has a canopy, a lithium battery and wide turf tyres, and comes with a golf bag carrier and a lockable rear box.
Can I ride a mobility scooter on the footpath in NSW?
Yes. Transport for NSW classes mobility scooters as motorised wheelchairs with a top speed of 10 km/h on level ground, and treats riders as pedestrians, so footpaths, shared paths and nature strips can be used if you follow the safety rules. It also says no registration, third-party insurance or licence is needed in NSW.
