Floradix iron supplements

Floradix Liquid Iron Plus and Floradix Floravital Liquid Iron Plus each combine nutritional iron with four B vitamins, B1, B2, B6 and B12, and both come in 250 mL and 500 mL bottles. Healthdirect advises seeing your doctor before taking any iron supplement, as they can tell you the right type of iron and dose.

Calcium, magnesium and multivitamins

Floradix Liquid Calcium and Magnesium adds zinc and vitamin D3 in a herbal and fruit base, in 250 mL and 500 mL. Floradix Liquid Magnesium is a single mineral liquid in 250 mL, and Floradix Epresat Liquid Multi carries vitamins A, D3, E, B1, B2, B3 and B6. Take only the amount on the label: Healthdirect warns that magnesium supplements above the recommended amount can cause diarrhoea, nausea and tummy cramps.

Which Floradix iron liquid is suitable for vegans?

Floradix Floravital Liquid Iron Plus is the one listed as suitable for both vegetarians and vegans. Floradix Liquid Calcium and Magnesium, Liquid Magnesium and the Kindervital children's multi are listed as suitable for vegetarians. If you follow a vegan diet and need another product from the range, call us and we will check the label with you.

Is there a Floradix supplement for children?

Floradix Liquid Kindervital Children's Multi is the children's option, a vitamin and mineral liquid in a fruit juice base, sold in 250 mL. Floradix lists calcium with vitamins A, D3, E, B1, B2, B3 and B6. Check the age and dose on the bottle, and speak with your child's doctor or pharmacist if they already take other supplements.

Can iron supplements cause side effects?

They can. Healthdirect notes that iron supplements may make your stools dark and can also cause constipation, and that if you take them, you will need to continue for several months and possibly longer, with the dose checked by your doctor. If you notice changes after starting Floradix Liquid Iron Plus, Floravital or the Iron Plus Tablets, let your doctor know.
