Aqium sanitiser formulas

Each formula contains 70% alcohol along with glycerin and pro-vitamin B5, and Aqium describes all three as non-sticky and quick to air dry. The Aloe version adds aloe vera. Aqium Ultra adds paraffinum liquidum and dimethicone, which Aqium includes to hydrate the skin. Cleaning and hygiene supplies for the rest of the home are in our household hygiene section.

Frequently asked questions

When should I use hand sanitiser rather than soap?

Soap and water come first when you have them. Healthdirect's hand hygiene guide treats an alcohol-based hand rub as the option for when they are out of reach, and points out that sanitiser does not do the job on hands that are visibly dirty. In that case, wash with soap and water instead.

How much Aqium should I use each time?

Healthdirect suggests putting about half a teaspoon of sanitiser in the palm of one hand, then rubbing both hands together so that every surface is covered, between the fingers included. Keep rubbing until your hands are dry, which it says takes about 20 to 30 seconds.
